Celery 'n' Coriander Rice

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 4 Cup boiled rice


  • 2 sliced onions


  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves


  • 1/2 cup fresh celery stock and few leaves


  • 1/2 cup boiled peas


  • 2 bay leaves


  • 1 inch cinnamon stick


  • 4 cloves


  • 1 black cardamom


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder


  • 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste


  • 1 tsp salt (to taste)


  • 2 tbsp oil

Directions

  • In a blender add washed coriander leaves, celery stalk and leaves, 1/4 cup peas, 1 sliced onion, red chilli powder, garam masala and make a paste with little water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon stick, black cardamom and let them splatter.
  • Now add 1 sliced onion and saute till light Golden in colour.
  • Add ginger and garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  • Now add remaining peas and green paste to the onions and saute for few minutes.
  • Add salt and mix nicely.
  • Now add boiled rice and gently mix and let it simmer for five minutes.
  • Serve hot with raita.
